There is one BEAUTIFUL song of KANNADASAN on this...

I'm Sorry - most of u might not be knowing it - but PLEASE try to listen to this song or ATLEAST appreciate the lyrics of this song by Our GREAT Kannadasan..

Paramasivan Kazhuthil irundhu is the song from the Movie Sooryakanthi..

· It is a song in which Kannadasan himself appears on the stage.
· Muthuraman and Jayalalitha - Hero and Heroine of the movie..
· The story is based on the ego between the husband and the wife..
· Due to family situation, Jayalalitha goes to work..
· Muthuraman (Her Husband) is very happy at first, but progressively becomes jealous of the success of his wife.

You know how wonderfully Kannadasan has written these lines... Awesome ... As simple as possible... Entire Knot of the film is explained in 2 lines....

I have READ this somewhere : The Story behind this song and its Lyrics ...

One of Our kaviarasar's associate-cum-relative when asked about this song said :

· It was aimed at Karunaneedhi. According to him when Annadurai's health was going down ..
During his last days Karunaneedhi used the inquiry-statement "Sowkiyima?" knowing fully well the
former's condition is terminal. Annadurai lamented later that Karunaneedhi was already
feeling the power at the helm even before his death. This comment reached kaviarasar and was
working in his mind during Karunaneedhi's rule. The reference to
"VANDI ODUM CHAKKARANGAL
IRANDU MATTUM VENDUM"
was a reference to Annadurai and Karunaneedhi as the two important cog
wheels in the DMK machinery.


Once, a particular situation was elaborated to MSV and MSV started the tune and Sivaji and

· Kannadasan were listening to the tunes and in between kannadasan started writing some lyrics
and he gave out the lyrics to MSV by the time he finished his tune. Sivaji was really shocked
and he asked if he (kannadasan) really have talents or he copy the lyrics from english song.
Kannadasan was upset (obviously). They both didnt talk for a while after that. Later sometime
when they both met with MSV for another song, Sivaji asked Kannadasan "sowkyama". Kannadasan
used that context and wrote this song
"PARAMASIVAN KALUTHIL ERUNTHA PAAMBU KETATHU KARUDA SOWKIYAMA
YAARUM IRUKKUM IDATHIL IRUNTHU KONDAAL YELLAAM SOWKYAMAE
GARUDAN SONNATHU - ATHIL ARTHAM ULLATHU"

If you read the write up and go thru the lyrics then.. u can feel it..
One of my most fav songs…. Great thathuvam..
MSV – TMS – Kannadasan …. Wonderful combo …
