· The King of GANA Songs...
· I'm a great fan of his Cinematic version of Gana songs..
· I think when Illayaraja was at his peak.. Deva must have needed a style of his own and opted Gana.. and that was an instant hit especially with the youth..
· Although, Gana gave him an identity... I always feel that beautiful melodies also can be extracted from him...
· Even though I don’t appreciate plagiarism in any form.... now a days.. when it comes to music.. I started thinking that ….. if at the end of the day if the song gives me happiness.. and if I enjoy the music… then .. fine..
· I don’t take it seriously ... so i like a lot of songs of Deva too....

What an imagination…?? Awesome lyrics by Vairamuthu… In the film “Achchamillai Achchamillai”.. directed by Iyakkunar Sigaram K.Balachander… Starring Rajesh,Saritha and Delhi Ganesh.
Saritha is one actress who could evoke audience's emotions with just a small change to her facial expression.
And K. Balachander is one of those directors who could make any person, who has even a tiny bit of acting talent, to perform exceptionally well on screen.
These two have combined to give a bunch of excellent tamil movies in the past.
Achchamillai Achchamillai is one of the best among them.
K.Balachander is best at his directorial experimentations…
Last week we saw “varumaiyil Niram Sivappu”… Narayana Iyyappan had mentioned about the “Scene” in the movie in which they will act as if they were cooking and eating .. with nothing…
In this movie also.. there is one scene which requires the actress to bring out the emotions that fill the scene and just display it in her facial expression. Well, who else is better than Saritha in doing this.
( Spend a min in reading this situation.. )
Rajesh (who once was a straight-forward person) has joined a filthy political party and has been a part of a lot of crimes. Also, he has grown increasingly impatient and shouts at everyone in the house, including his wife and his father (who he has been so fond of in better days).
In this particular scene, Rajesh is trying to answer a call from one of his political friends. There are a lot of things happening in the house...
· His child is crying for food,
· his father is shouting at him to leave those political goondas and take care of his family etc..
· Rajesh finally gets agitated and
· for the first time starts hitting his father....
The best part of this scene is none of these things are shown on the screen.
All this time the camera only focuses on Saritha's face who is
· concerned about the child when it starts crying for food,
· gives a sarcastic smile when Delhi Ganesh (Rajesh's dad) tries to convince Rajesh to get back to good ways,
· gets angry when Rajesh beats his own father and
· cries when Delhi Ganesh starts crying as he couldn't bear the pain.....
This scene wouldn't have been good, if the re-recording wasn't that sound.
V. S. Narasimhan just surpassed his mentor in re-recording (illayaraja) in this scene.
Truly one of the best scenes I have ever seen. You will definitely have to watch the movie to appreciate this scene.

The director of the movie… music by our ISAI PUYAL ARR… ( saw the promo of Ooh La La La … Heard ARR looks stunning… J) Cinematography of the film is handled by Santosh Sivan… Featuring Arvind Swamy ,Anuradha Haasan ,Nasser ,Radha Ravi ,Janagaraj … and the script by the legend Maniratnam..
I’m personally very touched with this movie’s storyline.
Though the baseline is about the two rivalry communities in the two neighboring villages and how peace is established… , what affected me was… how the girl, after loosing her father, faces the male chauvinist society, how she manages and struggles to unite the villages…
This movie got lots of accolades and awards…….
